Our client is an established and trusted electrical contractor based in Essex, serving customers throughout Essex, Kent and London areas, offering a wide range of electrical, fire, and security services.
They are currently seeking a skilled Electrician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic company, covering a variety of domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.
Please note- The salary for an Electrician will be £35,027 per year, and an Approved Electrician will earn £38,272 per year, based on a 40-hour week.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the reactive/jobbing field
- Ability to work independently, carrying out fault finding, alterations, installations, and rewires
- Electrical testing experience (training available)
- Must be over 25 years old for insurance reasons
- A full UK driving licence (up to 6 points)
What will your role look like?
- Coverage of DA, ME, BR, and SE postcode areas, with occasional travel to Essex, Kent, and London as required
- Undertaking a range of reactive tasks including fault finding, alterations, installation of new circuits, consumer unit replacements, rewires (full or partial), and installation of EV chargers
- Electrical testing (training provided if necessary)
- Occasional evening, night, and weekend work required, with night work paid at overtime rates (2x standard)
- Participation in the on-call rota (currently 1 week in 5) with on-call payments at the overtime rate, door-to-door
What can you expect in return?
- Van, Uniform, and Tablet provided
- All travel over 1 hour each way will be compensated at a flat rate
- Overtime is Paid at 1.5x the standard rate
- 28 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays). Holidays can be taken in various forms subject to approval
